Abstract
The properties of the angular glint in polarization agility systems are investigated and shown to be different from the glint properties of conventional radar systems. The cause of this difference is the transfer of the glint energy to the high-frequency domain. This work is based on the results of a previous study by the author (1985), in which the polarization averaging, its spectral properties, and their connection with polarization characteristics of specular points were treated. The results confirm the existence of a statistical relationship between the polarization averaging effect and the parameters describing the polarization ellipse of a received signal.<>
