Abstract
WiMAX technology is an attractive candidate for the next generation networks due to the diversity of possibilities to operate in wide areas and offering high data rates. The convergence of wireless mobile and fixed subscribers spatially accessing a common WiMAX system is presented in this paper. Results shows that mobile/fixed users can co-exist under the same WiMAX network even for the worst propagation conditions. As expected, the use of the spatial domain impacts favorably in the system performance. that mobile/fixed users can co-exist under the same WiMAX network even for the worst propagation conditions.
