Abstract
Regarding the influence of nuclear irradiation, in comparison with glass optical fibers, the plastic optical fibers (POF) present two important advantages: (1) The behaviour under irradiation is much better (one order of magnitude). (2) It is possible to realize special devices, such as sensors, to measure high nuclear energy. These kinds of sensors are generally called scintillators calorimeters, Trackers, . . . Both of theses advantages are explained in detail
