Abstract
In this paper, a detailed investigation of millimeter wave propagation characteristics is carried out, and a millimeter wave 3 Gbps wireless access system is described. A desk propagation model is used in this paper along with measurements carried out to investigate time variation characteristics and correlation bandwidth in the propagation channel along the surface of a desk plane. In accordance with the investigation of millimeter wave propagation characteristics, OFDM modulation and its parameter settings are proposed in order to realize a 3 Gbps wireless access system.
