Abstract
The supervisory software has widely been applied in various areas for many years. This paper introduces the design of supervisory software which is a part of a practical implementation platform for the ethernet-based control systems. The software architecture is presented in which a client/server structure is constructed to deal with the case where there are many users who want to access the system information and even change system parameters online and dynamically, an access control module is designed to make this process controllable and safe, friendly human machine interface (HMI) makes it very easy to configure signals and parameters that need to be monitored or controlled according to the users´ demands.
