Abstract :
We propose an image compression method using synchronization(hereafter referred to as the SYNC) in our paper. SYNC is a nonlinear phenomenon where the dissimilar natural rhythms of several oscillations are equalized by interactions. We compress the image after applying the Kuramoto model which is mathematical model of SYNC with image pixels. Thereby we succeeded improving the compression efficiency on the current method.
