Abstract
The purpose of this study was to establish and analyze a controlling equation in a second stage demand regulator. The feasibility of optimizing the regulator design according to a controlling equation was evaluated. Equivalent flow constants to be used in testing the regulator capability at depth were also analytically determined. All these goals were achieved, As a result this study showed that the prerequisite to a systematic design of an optimum demand regulator should be an understanding of the parameters within the mechanism and their relation to one another.
