Abstract
A finite dimensional discrete-time model reference control (MRC) algorithm for suppressing the vibrations in flexible smart structures is presented. Experimental results are furnished to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control algorithm in a personal computer (PC) based system designed to suppress vibrations in an aluminum cantilever test beam mounted with piezoelectric sensors and actuators
