Optimization of the arrangement compact range-modulated scattering probe array for rapid far-field antenna measurement

The authors present, the possibility to measure far-field patterns of antennas in a compact antenna test range (CATR) without mechanical movement. They first describe the possibility of the modulated scattering technique (MST) to measure the electric field in the focal plane (FP). They discuss a suitable arrangement allowing antenna measurements. A comparison with a classical technique performed at ESA-ESTEC is shown. They conclude by emphasizing the potential of this new technique
