Abstract
The paper examines the dependence of path loss on different meteorological parameters. These parameters are the localised surface temperature, pressure, and humidity measured at the receiver sites. The seasonal and diurnal variations of path loss are also presented to illustrate its changes throughout the day and seasons. This information is important in designing and planning radio links and numerical values of the cumulative distribution are presented. It shows that the maximum daily temperature averaged over a period of 1 to 2 weeks, is the most reliable meteorological parameter for path loss prediction. The conditional probability between path loss level and maximum daily temperature P(L|T) is also presented
