Abstract :
How to discover the services that satisfy the needs of request from the large-scale Grid services repository is a key application of Grid. This paper proposes a method of Grid service discovery based on Grid service ontology index description and ontology matchmaking. It provides a service discovery process by using ontology parser to extract ontology from a service request, and filters many irrelevant Grid services for semantic matchmaker by using ontology matchmaking. The results of experiments show that this method can not only get a good average precision, but also obtain a better time performance for semantic matchmaking.
