Title :
SEATRAK data processor--A surface data reduction system

Abstract :
Since the introduction of long-term, automatic recording current meters and, more specifically, the digital cassette design, efforts have been continually directed toward more efficient methods for handling recorded data and insuring reliable operation. With these basic objectives in mind, the SeaTrak Data Processor development was begun approximately two years ago. Coincidental with the processor design was the conception of a multiparameter recording current meter. It was essential that the on-going development of these systems be carried on simultaneously due to the interdependency of one unit on the other for operational efficiency and testing. The methods and techniques used to develop the various operational capabilities of the processor are presented in this discussion.
