The author surveys the computer methods available for the analysis and synthesis of antennas and their associated components and to providing some guidance in the applications and limitations of the various available methods. The methods discussed are volume element methods (FDTD, TLM, FEA, mode matching), surface element methods (method of moments PO), ray methods (GTD and GO), and hybrid methods
