Abstract
Revised Recommended Practice 515 provides a basis for successful application of heat tracing in unclassified, Class I, Division 2 (C1D2) and Class I, Division 1 (C1D1) areas. The design, installation, and maintenance recommendations give the user the means to achieve a safe and reliable heat tracing system. The author provides background and an overview of Recommended Practice 515 with special emphasis on the revised portions.<>
