Abstract :
The authors compare and analyze the effects of four phase feeding methods on the beam pointing accuracy for linear array antennas. The four phase feeding methods are called the General Phase Feeding Method (GPFM), the Random Phase Feeding Method (RPFM), the Shift and Compensate Phase Feeding Method (SCPFM), and the Shift Compare and Compensate Phase Feeding Method (SCCPFM). The authors also derive the characteristic equations and give the simulation results. The SCCPFM was first introduced by the authors and it has the best performance among the four methods
