Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new determination method of the loading impedances of loaded beam tilting antennas. If we can obtain the loading impedances of loaded antenna from desired characteristics in a straightforward manner, in the design it is practically useful. From a paper by Hirasawa (1978), we have the equation which represents the relation between the electric field at the far zone observation point and the loading impedances. In this paper, we derive the equation representing the relation between the desired characteristics such as tilt angle and directive gain and the loading impedances, and propose the determination method of the loading impedances for realizing both desired tilt angle and directive gain
