Abstract :
In accordance with the higher and higher tension control accuracy, using fuzzy controller in tension control system is proposed. The tension control model is deduced based on an aluminum cold rolling mill, and the fuzzy controller for tension control system is designed. The analysis in dynamic performance between traditional PID controller and fuzzy self-tuning PID controller is done by MATLAB toolbox. The simulation results show that fuzzy self-tuning PID controller has stronger robustness, faster response than traditional PID controller.
