    On behalf of the technical program committee of the 12th IFIP/IEEE Symposium on Integrated Network Management (IM 2011), it is our pleasure to welcome you to Dublin, Ireland for the technical program. We are glad to present a high quality technical program covering many of the important and interesting aspects of network and service operations and management. The theme of this year´s edition of the Symposium is “Effective and Energy Efficient Management of Networks and Services”.
