Abstract :
We demonstrate for the first time simultaneous chromatic dispersion and amplified-spontaneous-emission noise monitoring of phase-modulated 40 Gb/s NRZ-DPSK and 640 Gb/s RZ-DPSK optical signals, using a THz bandwidth photonic-chip-based radio-frequency spectrum analyzer. High measurement dynamic range was also achieved.
