Abstract
The authors deal with the problems in the prediction of interference levels over the Indian subcontinent using CCIR recommendations relating to tropospheric radiowave propagation. These have surfaced in the light of their experience in analysing some cases of interfering signals. They advocate a new integrated prediction procedure-as suggested by M.T. Hewitt for the UK-for tropical countries. (See Proceedings International Microwave Conference, Brazil, p.246-51, 1991). They present some experimental evidence from the Indian subcontinent for the support of the model proposed by Hewitt
