Abstract :
In amplitude comparison and phase comparison widely used in engineering applications, one major problem annoying engineers is the amplitude and phase matching among the channels. A method using one channel for dual amplitude and phase comparison is proposed in this paper. The principle of the method is presented in detail, and the equivalent error of one such channel for amplitude and phase comparison is analyzed. The analysis with the simulation shows the typical value of mismatching between the two paths is under about 1 dB in amplitude and 10 degree in phase
