Abstract :
Wavelet analysis is a multiresolution analysis, whose elements have good localization properties in both the spatial and Fourier domains. For different frequencies it has a changeable time-frequency window, so the detector based on wavelet transform is robust. In this paper the detection of signals in noise is discussed and a concept of multiresolution likelihood ratio is put out
