Abstract :
It is well known that the barycentric rational Hermite interpolants offer the advantages of the numerical stability, no poles, no unattainable points regardless of the distribution of the points. The barycentric rational Hermite interpolant is determined while weights are given. It is the key issue how to choose weights so that the interpolation error is the minimum value. The optimal weights are obtained based on an optimization model. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the new method.
