Abstract :
This paper proposes a high-powered control of sensorless PMSM drive by applying a square-wave operation at high-speed. The sensorless control is based on the estimation of an extended electromotive force (EMF) in the rotating reference frame, and the sensorless control is applied not only in the current vector control region by the PWM control of the inverter but also in the square-wave operating region. The effectiveness of the proposed control system is examined based on experimental results.
