Abstract :
In the last few years there has been growing interest in mobile HV/MV substations. This paper examines the MV unit of these substations which have recently been the object of important development. The use of the new compact SF6 GIS means the system can be installed in standard containers making transport and set up both fast and easy. Moreover the use of microprocessor-based control and protection devices interfaced with a computer makes local and remote control of whole system extremely simple
