Abstract :
Considering that the performance of fixed parameter PID active queue management algorithm was unsatisfactory when the control parameters were unmatched with the network parameters, a new adaptive PID active queue management algorithm is proposed. It improves the response speed and steady state performance of the network congestion control systems through the adaptive adjusting of integrator control parameter and real-time amending of drop probability. Simulation results show that the performance of proposed adaptive PID is superior to that of PI, PID, REM at response speed, steady state performance, utilization of bottleneck, et al. And it has satisfactory performance under various network entironment.
