Substation grounding grid design with the aid of a computer program

The paper covers design considerations of AC substation grounding grids and describes a computer program that was developed to assist in the design of such grids. The program provides a scientific, technically acceptable and economically viable solution to substation grounding grid designs based on IEEE Std 80. The program is user friendly, requiring only basic engineering and computer knowledge
