Abstract :
A set of formulae to compute three-dimensional space-charge fields is presented, to have a 3D-nonlinear-numerical simulation for beam-wave interaction of TWT, in which two speed-optimization approaches are used to reduce computing time to three days on an ordinary microcomputer. Preliminary computational results indicate, for the periodic magnetic focusing fields, under the given parameters, the saturation length is 9.28, the gain achieves 34.810 and the RF wave amplitude achieves 1.238
