Abstract
A novel compact narrowband bandpass microstrip filter using degenerate modes of multi-meander loop resonators was analysed in HTS 2-pole and 4-pole realizations and found to have high performance, selectivity, and, substantial size reduction compared with current designs. A two-pole Copper filter of this type, scaled nearly 8 times larger (70×70) to operate at a central frequency of 142 MHz and bandwidth of 1.4% was fabricated, tested and compared with the prediction of a CAD tool to validate predictions for other analyzed designs of 2-pole and 4-pole filters
