Abstract :
In this paper, we analyzed the driver´s physiological and psychological burdens during driving process first, and reached conclusion that the object of new type electric power steering system research is to reduce driver´s physiological and psychological burdens as much as possible. Then the paper introduced the knowledge of ergonomics. Because during the driving process driver and vehicle composed a “human-machine system”, the research is to resolve “machine pleasant to people” problem and is need to follow the discipline of “ergonomics”. According to research results of scholars at home and abroad, the author proposed a power assistant control program based on information fusion expert system, which can satisfy the driver´s various demands at various speeds and reduce the driver´s physiological and psychological burdens.
