  • Abstract
This work is limited to electrostatic effects on workers while performing maintenance work on the polluted insulators under live conditions. the purpose of this investigation is to clarify the concepts and the limits of validity of voltage gradient computation at different heights above the ground and at the insulator surface as a quantitative measure of the intensity of electrostatic effects. The charging current through an object under new EHV transmission lines has been calculated.<>
