Abstract
This discussion focuses on impulse electromagnetic fields generated by relatively low-voltage ESD (about 3 kV or less) and, in particular, on EMI effects resulting from their approach/collision. A series of experiments have revealed the strength of the unipolar impulse field generated by indirect ESD and how great a threat it is to electronic equipment.<>
