Abstract
On-chip magnetic films deposited atop a conventional silicon integrated circuit can enable numerous new high performance circuit applications such as high speed interface and isolation circuits, trimmed and alterable analog components and nonvolatile memory without wear-out. High-Q, high value on-chip inductors are also possible through the use of high magnetic permeability on-chip films. Characteristics of these magnetic films, various circuit details and experimental results are described in this paper
