Abstract :
This paper is about the presence and absence of quadratic phase coupled frequencies in an ECG beat. The study indicates that the shape determining frequencies for an ECG beat are strongly phase coupled to each other. This approach is contrary to the existing non-overlapping frequency band approaches towards the ECG signals.
