Abstract :
The incident plane wave is expanded into a set of Gaussian beams radiated by complex Huygens wavelets. For a two-dimensional concave reflector, the theoretical formulas of scattering field and radar cross section are obtained by means of complex ray tracing and paraxial approximation combined with the uniform theory of diffraction. The numerical results obtained for both horizontal and vertical polarizations agree well with those from geometrical optics.<>
