Abstract
This paper presents a new and fast polarity algorithm based on the analysis and summary of the correlators for flow measurement currently used at home and abroad. This algorithm is derived from the ability of microprocessor to handle 8-bit simultaneously and uses peak search through bisection method to greatly reduce the cost of correlators. It is possible to measure multichannel flow by one correlator for real time process with low cost. This paper presents a correlator with 8-channel flow measurement. The test has shown that this correlator has good real time performance and can measure gas-solid two-phase flow when used with capacitance sensors.
