  • Abstract
Service-oriented architectures (SOA) allow a run time composition and exchange of independently developed services. Thus, the SOA paradigm is predestined for the easy development of distributed applications and software systems. Particularly in mobile settings is distribution a possibility to provide functionalities to devices with restricted resources. SOA and the common advances in the area of wireless communication technologies are further factors that facilitate the realization of better mobile business applications. Specifically in such changing environments efficient service discovery is a crucial prerequisite for a pleasant user experience, which is today all too often hampered by the poor findability of services. In order to overcome the existing limitations, which are currently even more pressing in mobile usage scenarios, we propose a novel combination of a middleware called RecSO and a recently developed test-driven service discovery approach.
