Abstract
Structural, magnetic, and electrical properties of colossal magnetoresistance La23/Ca13/MnO3 perovskite prepared by co-precipitation method were studied using X-ray diffractometer, AC susceptometer and DC four point probe systems. The electrical transport studies shows the metal to insulator phase transition temperature TP is about 276 K. The electrical transport studies of the sample also shows the typical metallic behaviour at temperature below TP and semiconducting behaviour at temperature above TP. The AC susceptometer studies indicates sample exhibits ferromagnetic behaviour with magnetic transition temperature about 270 K. The magnetic properties of the sample are enhanced with increasing applied field from 0.1 Oe to 10.0 Oe. The X-ray diffractometer spectrum studies for all substitution shows single phase perovskite structure with the presence of some minor impurities.
