Abstract
A CAD (computer-aided design) procedure suitable for series-fed arrays is described. The purpose of developing this software is to eliminate the recourse to cut-and-try iterations in the existing methods of array design. Starting from the array specifications, the proposed CAD procedure provides the required dimensions of array elements together with the computed array characteristics. This CAD procedure has been verified by comparing the measured and the calculated performance of a 19-element series-fed array with a dielectric cover layer.<>
