Abstract
Presents a collection of slides covering the following topics: large-capacity photonic networks are basic infrastructures for increasing internet traffics; advanced modulation formats with digital coherent detection are keys for high bit-rate transmission; photonic-electric hybrid integration technologies have been developed for transceivers with 100Gb/s and more; integrated devices must be cost-effective, compact size, high performance, low power consumption and highly stable.
