Scattering of H-polarized electromagnetic wave by a dihedral wedge with a solid cylinder with a sectoral groove at the apex

Abstract :
The rigorous solution of the problem is presented. Relying upon completeness of angular functions on the respective intervals the boundary-value method is applied. SFF and BRCS of the structure are evaluated asymptotically. The scattered field characteristics are analyzed numerically with controlled precision. Shown that BRCS as function of incident wave length exhibits oscillating character, with sectoral groove presence having significant effect on the shape of the resulting radiation-pattern which also varies with the sector opening angle.
