Abstract :
The coefficient sensitivities of 2D digital filters are analyzed over a particular frequency region. This is based on the Fornasini-Marchesini second model. The overall sensitivity, called the frequency-weighting sensitivity, is evaluated using the 2D generalized Gramians. The 2D filter structures that minimize the frequency-weighting sensitivity are synthesized for two cases of no constraint and scaling constraint on the state variables
