Abstract
A method used to calculate the spatial distribution of currents within conducting structures of complicated shapes, as well as the near and far electric and magnetic fields around them, is presented. The structure is divided into segments that are modeled as prolate spheroids. A solution that is analytical and has a predictable behavior, yet can be easily implemented in computer code, is found for a single segment. Several segments are combined in manner similar to the method of moments.<>
