Abstract
A wave propagation model for field-strength and coverage prediction in the VHF/UHF frequency range is presented. The model uses a digital terrain databank and considers multipath propagation. The calculation of the propagation effects are performed by the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction and the appropriate theories, describing the scattering from dielectric rough surfaces. The method for field-strength forecasting is described, and the evaluation of the total receiver field is shown.<>
