  • Abstract
    According to the characteristics of the structure and the force of large rectangle aqueduct with longitudinal beams, the author puts forward the practical space method that is more simple and convenient for designing steel bar, and the accuracy of calculation results can also meet the engineering design requirement. Through force analysis of one large rectangle aqueduct with longitudinal beams of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, it can be included that the water load distribution is not uniform among each longitudinal beam, the force of the side longitudinal beam is the biggest due to its larger stiffness, the force of other longitudinal beam increase gradually as being far from the side longitudinal beam, the displacement of mid-span and the stress in girder´s lower margin of the side longitudinal beam also increase gradually, in the load system of the structure, main function of cross beam aims at adjusting the load distribution among the longitudinal big beam, improving the stiffness of cross beam, and increasing the force of the side longitudinal beam, these are beneficial to completely exert the resistance to bending of side longitudinal beam.
