Abstract
The optimum structure for a cascade adaptive filter is discussed. Different ways to implement the optimum structure are studied. For the tracking of noisy sinusoids, a ring structure is proposed to implement it. The use of the ring structure reduces the required N 2 cells of notches in the optimum structure to be N cells only. Necessary conditions that allow this reduction are given
