Abstract :
A new designing method for uniform filter banks using all-pass filters is presented. This method is based on the two-stage filter bank structure using all-pass filters. By using this method, the authors realized a continuous soft-band property for polyphase filters and analysis filter banks. Moreover, the realization of synthesis filter banks is given. which in cascade with analysis filter banks eliminates aliasing and amplitude distortions of the whole system. An example is discussed
