Abstract
Wuxi drainage management system is established according to Wuxi drainage features and management requirements. It makes real-time monitoring of the operation of drainage pumping stations through microwave communications, and the microwave network adopts the centralized monitoring system. In order to grasp the hydrological and meteorological situation, it takes advantage of the cable communication to connect to the networks of the hydrological and meteorological department. The decision-making supporting system for flood prevention has also been established, which can forecast the future river water level and urban flood, make preparation for flood drainage, and take corresponding measures for flood control and emergency relief, according to precipitation information, hydrological information and operation information of pumping stations monitored and transmitted by the microwave network and cable communication system. The establishment of the system enhances the drainage management of Wuxi, which can reduce the lost of Wuxi caused by flood disaster to the greatest extent.
