Abstract
The paper is devoted to a solution of the parameter design problem for linear multivariable deterministic and stochastic systems. Parameter design is formulated as a nonlinear optimization problem on a set of solutions of the Lyapunov matrix algebraic equation. The possibility of application of gradient optimization methods for the determination of the best value of the adjusted parameters vector is considered. Formulae for evaluation of the gradient of the minimized function are derived. As an example, the parameter design problem of aircraft longitudinal motion is considered. Calculation and simulation results are given. The results should be useful for computer aided design control systems of complex technical objects
