Abstract
This paper presents an adaptive control scheme for an AC servomotor drive using a permanent-magnet synchronous motor. In the proposed scheme, stator currents are controlled by an inner predictive control loop. The position is controlled by an outer loop based on the adaptive control principle. The Lyapunov stability principle is applied to warrant minimum tracking error. The proposed scheme has been implemented on an experimental 1.5 kW servo drive using a floating-point DSP (TMS320C30). Theoretical and experimental results are presented and discussed
